Date : 1 December - 31 December, The farmers and other community members in Pura Lingsar about 10 km from the town of Mataram throw "ketupat" ( steamed rice wrapped in palm leaves ) at each other in a ceremony in hopes that they will be prosperous. The ceremony is held in the late afternoon. Pujawali ceremony should be held three days before the Ketupat War which falls in December on a full moon.
It is a tourism event where visitor can enjoy a variety of attractions such as tourism, handicraft, souvenir, painting exhibition and sales. Traditional food festival, seminar, fashion show and commodity on great sales. Besides, visitor can attend the commemoration of the coronation anniversary of the Keraton Kasunanan's King Pakoe Boewono XII who ascended the throne in 1944. The King takes the occasion of the coronation anniversary to sit on the throne and the Royal family pays homage to the King.
The Bali Art Festival is a month-long art festival participated by all regencies with in the province of Bali, the opening ceremony of Bali Art Festival, commence with procession of art and cultural treasures of each regancy.
